Women’s and Children’s Services Director (WCS)

A local not-for-profit community hospital has started their search for a Women’s and Children’s Services Director (WCS). The WCS Director assesses, plans, implements and evaluates delivery of patient care with 24-hour responsibility for total management of the Department. Provides administrative direction for development and evaluation of all nursing personnel and maintains operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services. Contributes to nursing and the hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, educational and research efforts. Is proactive in identifying needs of the unit and staff while resolving issues to improve patient care and supports nursing leadership direction. The WCS Director works closely with the Chief Nursing Officer.
The leadership at the hospital would like to find a WCS Director who possess a Bachelors in Nursing with a Master’s degree in progress (in a related field) and a current state Nursing license. 5-7+ years of Clinical and Progressive leadership experience within an acute care facility.
