Director of Surgical Services
A community-focused hospital is seeking a Director of Surgical Services to oversee the full scope of perioperative care. This position leads daily operations across the Operating Room, Pre-Op, PACU, Central Processing, and supports orthopedic and general surgery outreach clinics. The organization is looking for a leader who can bring structure, accountability, and strong communication to a high-visibility service line.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational oversight across all perioperative areas
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and patient-centered care
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Partner with senior leadership on departmental goals, budgets, and performance improvement
- Support staff development, team engagement, and retention
- Maintain alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values
Requirements
- RN and Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
- 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in Surgical Services
- CNOR preferred
