A mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking a dynamic Director of Development to lead and expand fundraising, grant strategy, marketing, communications, and community engagement efforts. This is a highly visible leadership role for a relationship-builder who thrives at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and community impact.
This position plays a critical role in advancing organizational growth and long-term sustainability by strengthening philanthropic partnerships, elevating brand presence, and aligning development initiatives with strategic priorities.
Position Highlights
✔️ Salary Range: $105K–$126K annually (based on experience)
✔️ Full-time leadership role (40 hours/week)
✔️ High-impact position with executive visibility
✔️ Significant community engagement and external partnership focus
✔️ Opportunity to shape fundraising strategy and organizational growth
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive fundraising strategies, including annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, special events, and grants
- Lead and manage grant development programs, from prospecting to submission and reporting
- Develop and execute a strategic marketing and communications plan to enhance visibility and brand awareness
- Oversee external communications including website content, social media, newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials
- Build and sustain strong relationships with donors, funders, community partners, and local stakeholders
- Serve as a visible ambassador at community events, forums, and conferences
- Partner with executive leadership to articulate development needs and align philanthropic goals with organizational strategy
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, public relations, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in development, fundraising, or advancement (healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or similar settings preferred)
- Proven success securing major gifts and grants and building long-term donor relationships
- 5+ years of leadership experience
Highly Desired
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Bilingual / bicultural background
