Interim QI Nurse (complaints & grievances)
Northern California
A respected California managed care organization is seeking an experienced Interim Quality Improvement Nurse to support its Quality Improvement team with a primary focus on complaints and grievances management.
This is a fully-remote interim opportunity.
Assignment Details:
- 3-Month Interim Assignment
- Fully Remote (Must reside in the state of California)
- Monday - Friday schedule
- Salary: $55/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, investigate, and resolve member complaints and grievances
- Triage urgent cases and coordinate follow-up with members and providers
- Support quality improvement initiatives and corrective action plans
- Assist with audits, reporting, and regulatory compliance efforts
- Conduct retrospective PCP assignment reviews as needed
Qualifications:
Required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active, unrestricted California RN license
- 3–5+ years of clinical nursing experience
Preferred
- Managed care experience
- Complaints, grievances, appeals, or quality improvement experience
- Knowledge of HEDIS, NCQA, CMS, and DHCS requirements
- Experience working with Medi-Cal and/or Medicare populations

This role would be a great fit for a detail-oriented nurse with strong clinical judgment, investigative skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced managed care environment.
